Privacy Policy — Bible BFF

Welcome to Bible BFF, a mobile application published by Idea Garden LLC ("Idea Garden", "we", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through Bible BFF, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies solely to Bible BFF; if you use other Idea Garden apps, please see the relevant section for each app on our website.

1 What information do we collect?

Category Details Retention
Information you provide • On‑boarding survey answers ("Why do you want to use the app?", "How much of the Bible have you read?") Stored only in your device’s memory while the app is open. Discarded when you close the app. We never transmit or store these answers on our servers.
Chat content When you use the AI chat for biblical advice, the text you type is sent in real‑time to our language‑model provider (OpenAI) to generate a response. Not stored by Idea Garden. OpenAI may retain the data briefly to provide the service; see Section 5.
Crash & usage data Aggregated, de‑identified diagnostics supplied by Apple and Google (e.g., OS version, device model, event timestamps). Retained by Apple/Google per their policies; we view only aggregated reports.

We do not ask you to create an account, provide your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or location.

2 How do we use your information?

  1. Deliver core features — send your chat prompt to OpenAI and return a response.
  2. Understand and improve performance — review anonymous crash reports and usage metrics.
  3. Compliance and security — detect abuse or violations of our Terms.

We do not use your data for behavioural advertising, profiling, or automated decision‑making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3 Legal bases (EEA/UK only)

Where consent is required (e.g., App Tracking Transparency or push notifications), we will request it in‑app.
